Donating to CAUHF

Like any voluntary group, CAUHF depends on the generosity of those who use the system. A number of amateurs have made significant contributions of time, equipment and money to build and maintain the system. CAUHF can always use the following:

  • Cash is always appreciated and needed to purchase new equipment or make repairs to existing equipment. Please consider a contribution if you cannot help in any other way.
  • Donations of equipment such as UHF transmitters, UHF receivers, UHF amplifiers, antennas, duplexers, cavities and the myriad other pieces required to keep a system up and going. Equipment needs to be in operational condition and capable of continuous service. Antennas need to be of commercial quality and able to withstand a variety of weather conditions.
  • Heliax and/or hard line in good condition. Hard line or heliax connectors are appreciated as well.
  • If you have spectrum analyzers, service monitors or other such service equipment capable of testing VHF/UHF equipment and know how to use it, we could always use your help on this.
  • Do you have the safety equipment for tower climbing and have you had practical experience in tower climbing and working at installing and repairing antennas and other equipment located on radio towers? If your health permits, your services are also welcomed and needed.
  • Have you had or do you have experience in assembling radio equipment or repairing equipment? We could use your help here as well.
